Nesans VM Series Vibrating Screens are made up of sub-assemblies lock-bolted together, enabling wear parts to be readily replaced. Drive is from standard AC motor via hardened MS Shaft. Nesans VM Series Screens are two bearing screens where it has been extensively developed for low budget plants.
The circular and elliptical motion combined screens are medium inclined Screens and its operating frequency is generally 750 or 1000 vibrations per minute and easily adapted to the material to be screened in terms of angle of throw and amplitude which are adjustable within certain limits.
Great stress has been laid on machine ruggedness and stability, simple maintenance and servicing including replacement of screen decks. Depending on application the machines are available as single, double, triple and quadruple deck screens sizes range up to 4 m wide and to 9 m long and capacities up to 3000 tph depending upon the cut point and material characteristics.
Applications include primary and secondary classification, sizing, washing/dewatering/ desliming, knock-out screens in foundry, screening of hot material and many others. Screen mats used are woven wire, rubber, polyurethane and perforated plate.

The stroke and stroke angle can be found by observing the stroke card pasted in the dewatering screen. The size of a circle in mm which is seen as two circles touching each other in its circumference while running is the stroke of the screen. Circles that does not touch each other or those that overlap each other signifies over stroke and under stroke respectively.
The stroke of the screen can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the weights of the unbalance. Increasing the weight of will increase the stroke and decreasing the weight will decrease the stroke of the screen.
The main difference between the two screens are as follows
1. No of bearings ( 2 in VM series, 4 in VX Series)
2. No of Shafts ( 2 in VM Series, 2 in VX Series)
3. VX series has the ability to withstand deflection in the shaft due to its universal joint shaft connecting the two bearing housings.
4. 4 Bearing screens start and stop smoothly as compared to 2 bearing screens.
Both VM and VX series screens can be modified to run for a wet screening application. High Pressure spray nozzles mounted above the screen decks can provide adequate water for wet screening.
The screening media will depend upon the following factors.

The two most commonly used media are perforated sheets / punched plates and the wire mesh with clamping options. Both the media are equally effective.
