Horizontal Screens - VH Series
The Nesans VH Series Horizontal Screens are engineered for high-efficiency screening in compact installations, especially where height limitations are a concern. Designed with a unique triple-shaft mechanism synchronized by heavy-duty gears, the VH Series delivers elliptical motion that enhances material stratification and screening accuracy across a wide range of applications.
This gear-driven three-shaft system generates a powerful yet smooth elliptical throw, promoting faster material travel and improved separation even at low inclinations. Ideal for both wet and dry screening, the VH Series is known for its high throughput, low operational noise, and excellent reliability in continuous duty environments.
Whether used in mining, aggregate, or industrial screening setups, the Nesans VH Series offers precision performance, reduced maintenance, and exceptional versatility — making it a trusted choice for horizontal screening solutions.
Applications:
How It Works
The Nesans VH Series Horizontal Screens operate using a three-shaft gear-driven mechanism that produces a powerful elliptical motion. Each shaft is precisely timed and connected through a set of heavy-duty gears, ensuring synchronized movement. This triple-shaft system generates high G-forces and elliptical vibration, which improves material stratification and increases screening efficiency, especially for fine and sticky materials.
Unlike traditional circular or linear motion screens, the elliptical throw of the VH Series offers a perfect balance between aggressive material movement and gentle stratification. This motion propels material quickly across the screen surface while giving finer particles more time to settle and pass through the screening media. The result is faster material processing, reduced blinding, and superior screening accuracy, all within a low-profile, horizontally-oriented frame.

The Nesans Horizontal Screen is an advanced triple-shaft elliptical motion vibrating screen designed to deliver precise material separation and consistent product gradation. It is engineered for fine screening applications, especially in M-sand and aggregate plants where product quality is critical.
Use a horizontal screen anywhere height is tight and you need accurate sizing at common cuts (20 mm / 10 mm / 4.75 mm), dry or wet. It’s a great match after cone/HSI stages for final splits and for rinsing before sand/classification.
Horizontal screen uses a gear-synchronized, triple-shaft mechanism that creates a high-energy elliptical (oval) motion. Elliptical motion improves stratification, reduces plugging, and maintains travel even on fine/wet work—ideal for accurate cuts in a low-profile machine.
- Crushed stone, gravel, and sand.
- Silica sand, quartz, and industrial minerals.
- Coal, iron ore, and limestone.
- Wet or dry material with equal efficiency.
- Screen media (mesh/PU/rubber).
- Bearings and shaft components.
- Springs or rubber suspensions.
- Side plate liners (in heavy-duty applications).
Nesans provides readily available spares, reducing plant downtime.
- 2-deck: two finished products + overs (simple plants).
- 3-deck: the most common—e.g., 20 / 10 / 4.75 mm.
- 4-deck: adds a fine trim (e.g., 2.36 mm) or a bypass.
- Top deck: rubber or heavy PU for impact/abrasion; wire for max open area.
- Middle deck(s): PU for life on abrasive feeds or self-cleaning wire if pegging appears.
- Bottom deck / fine cuts: PU (tapered holes) or self-cleaning wire; consider slotted panels when near-size pegging is persistent.
Throughput depends on screen area, feed gradation, moisture, media, and settings. As a rule, size by area first, then tune stroke/speed/angle to stabilize bed depth. Use our model table (deck count and area per deck) as your starting point and we’ll validate with sizing curves for your material.
- Adjust stroke/RPM to increase stratification.
- Use PU/rubber decks to prevent blinding.
- In wet circuits, combine with Nesans sand washing systems for better efficiency.
Screen size depends on:
- Desired throughput (TPH).
- Feed size distribution.
- Number of products required (2-deck, 3-deck, 4-deck).
Typical signs include:
- Oversized material in fines.
- Inconsistent product gradation.
- Excessive vibration/noise.
- Frequent screen blinding or pegging.
- Daily checks: Bearing lubrication levels, screen media wear, abnormal vibrations/noise.
- Weekly checks: Tightening of bolts, inspection of drive components, checking stroke and RPM.
- Periodic maintenance: Bearing replacements, screen cloth change, spring inspection.
- Uneven product gradation: Usually caused by worn or blinded screen media.
- High vibration or noise: Can mean loose bolts, worn bearings, or cracked springs.
- Low efficiency: Often due to incorrect stroke/RPM settings or uneven feed.
- Better screening efficiency for fine materials.
- Flatter installation profile → suitable for plants with limited height.
- Consistent gradation → improves final product quality.
- Flexible stroke and speed adjustments → allows tuning for different feed materials.
- Horizontal Screen: Best for precision screening of smaller feed sizes.
- Inclined Screen: Best for high throughput, handling large feed sizes and sticky materials.
